This year, themed “Terra Incognita- East and West- Hybrid World” the festival hosted circa 8,000 visitors- the largest number of audiences in its 17 years. It exposed 70 new works of art, and hosted 40 local and international artists, including Natalia Mali (Dagestan) and Ma- Li (China)- Two Musrara International Residency artists who researched and worked on their project in Musrara since March 2017.

For the very first time the festival created an interactive technology playground titled “The Wonder Park”, led by the Department of New Media, which attracted families with children to join in the festivities.
